Funky Quail is a label and art studio made up of Becky Dreistadt, the womderful artist behind http://TinyKittenTeeth.com, and her step-mom Mary Beth.

Becky has been drawing since she held her first crayon. She holds a magna cum laude degree in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design and received the "Outstanding Achievement in Sequential Art" from the college. Becky's work will be featured in an upcoming issue of "Nickolodean Magazine." She previously won a Congressional Art Award in 2004.

Mary Beth and her sister, Marty, are knitters who can not draw. Frustrated by the lack of groovy shirts for knitters, they brought their ideas to Becky, who brilliantly brought the ideas to life! Now we have fun and funky shirts to wear to our respective knitting groups in Nashville and Chicago.

Mary Beth's original bag design was recently featured in Amy Butler's Inspiration Gallery in a quilt design CD produced by the Electric Quilt Company. She received a merit award from the Kwik Sew Company in their 2007 purse design competition. Her work in handbag design, wearable art, and knitted designs can be seen at various juried art and craft shows through-out the Mid-South. She also writes all the promotional copy for her talented, smart, beautiful and funny step-daughter, Becky.

Returns are available on unwashed and unworn shirts, except for hand-painted shirts, which are not. Returns are for store credit only. They must be postmarked within seven days of receipt. We are unable to refund shipping costs: the buyer pays all shipping on exchanges. FunkyQuail is committed to providing detailed product information prior to your purchase. If you are unsure, please ask! We want you to be happy.

Gift wrap is available, free of charge, or any purchase. This may delay shipping out by one day, but we do our best to ship promptly. Please state the occasion. A note to the gift recipient, stating who the gift is from, can also be included upon request.
