HI!! My name is Tracy and I have been making and selling handmade hair accessories for almost 6 years now. My love for bow making started with a special need for my young daughter Branyell. Shortly after Branyell was born she developed a huge hemangioma on the top of her head and had no hair to cover it up. People and children can be so mean and insensitive just from ignorance. I can remember coming home many times from a simple trip to the grocery store and be in tears because I overheard whispers about her hemangioma and many times someone had said things to me like "what is that gross thing on your baby's head" or I would hear "look at that ugly baby".....no one could ever see past that hemangioma on her head and all the looks and words were causing me to not see past it either and that was the part that made me the angriest. So I starting making headbands with big bows on them for her to cover it up. I didn't do this because I was ashamed, I did it because I never wanted her to feel the hurt that I did from other's words and comments. My son at the time was about 4 and he started to get very angry when he would hear things about his baby sister. He told me he didn't understand why others didn't like his sister, so I wanted them to see how beautiful Branyell really was!

We had many trips to Akron Children's to the plastic surgeon to watch the hemangioma and it got to be a little bigger than a 50 cent piece and about 3/4 of an inch thick. It was a bright angry red color. He had planned surgery to remove it when she was around 2, but at about 15 months old the hemangioma started to shrink....my prayers had been answered just in time! Branyell didn't have to have surgery and the hemangioma is now a very light pink and totally flat on her head. Her hair covers it now and if you didn't know it was there you would never notice it.

So I continue making beautiful bows for my daughter and other little girls. My business has always been about making a little girl feel special. I take great pride in the craftmanship of all my products! All ribbon ends are heat sealed, even the ends that you can't see, so you can be assured of their durability and long lasting beauty.
