I've been crocheting since I was about 6, I think, although I took an extended break from about age 10 to college. I am inspired by a yarn's texture, and I love working with natural fibers. I've recently started using yarn I've reclaimed by unraveling thrift store sweaters.

I recently quit my full-time job as managing editor of a twice-weekly newspaper.
