L'Âge d'Or Jeweler

Jewelry at L'Âge d'Or is all handmade. A lot of care and attention is put into each piece, which gives each piece it's subtle, unique character.

Stamping out hunks of metal with a cookiecutter would defy the philosophy of L'Âge d'Or. Jewelry should be something that you maintain a relationship with; you and the piece augmenting each other for a more beautiful whole — and for lifetime.

Jennine of The Coveted:
About your collection, obviously, it’s inspired by crystals and nature, but do you have any particular reasoning behind going with this aesthetic, any visual images lurking in your brain compelling you?

L'Âge d'Or:
My inspiration comes from my desire to gather all of the special little things I notice about life and implement them physically in metal. Instead of holding the shapes and tones and timbres of an environment captive within the rich collection of the mind, I wish to slide them onto my fingers in precious metals to be reflected back at the world that suggested them to me in the first place. Sometimes, though, design is design and it’s not at all emotional. Either way, extending yourself, your hands, with wearable art feels so right.
