Bio

From my home in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico, I make each Jolie Bag by hand, with the help of two energetic little boys, a patient husband, and two lazy dogs. Somehow, I manage to come up with new bags each week. Though I'm lucky to come from a long line of talented sewers, I only recently began making things on my own. I wanted to find a way to work with fabric, make things, and be able to work from home. (I left an office in 1999 and I never want to go back!) Thanks to my darling hubby, and two boys too young to protest, Jolie Designs has become an outlet for my creative inclinations.

The inspiration for the Jolie Girl logo comes from my sister, who died in 1997 from leukemia. What better way to honor her memory than pretty bags and purses that bear her name? She would love this stuff, and I hope some of her joy for life comes to you with every Jolie Bag.
