Bio

Thank you for visiting Half Moon Beads.

I fell in love with making jewelry in 2002, when my sister-in-law encouraged me to give it a try, I took to it like a fish to water. I read as many books and magazines as I could get my hands on and I began making items for myself. Soon the ladies at work were asking where I got my jewelry. When I told them I made it, I started getting requests to make jewelry for them.

In 2005, I took my first lampworking class and I started incorporating lampwork beads into my designs. Soon I became intrigued with glass and now I'm hooked. I love glass of all shapes, colors and forms. I have joined various lampworking groups and learned from other members. I then practiced, practiced and practiced some more.

In 2007, I took classes in glass fusing from Bea Sharp of B Sharp Accessories I am now offering fused glass pendants and earrings in my collection.

I am a member of Northern California Chapter of the Society of Glass Beadmakers (SGB NorCal), International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB), Self-Represnting Artist Member #C73 (SRA), and Self-Representing Artist Jewelry Designer Member # 0448 (SRAJD)

Located in beautiful Half Moon Bay, California, I sell my handmade items at local boutiques shops and at boutique craft sales in Half Moon Bay, the small town of Pescadero and here at HalfMoonBeads.com

All items listed in my shop are handmade by myself. No two pieces are a like unless I receive a special request from one of my customers.

Nothing thrills me more than to hear from my customers who come back months or years later to tell me of the many compliments they receive on the items they have purchased from me.
