Welcome to the Armor Guitar Company. I would like to thank you for visiting my etsy page. Each instrument that bears the name Armor Guitar Company is individually hand crafted by luthier James Peters, a 35-year veteran of the musical stage along with 25 years experience in woodworking and instrument repair. With this experience, as a musician and a luthier, I create guitars with a noticeable resonant tone and are a true pleasure to play. Focusing on only the finest woods and material available, each guitar is a work of art with months of labor involved.

***THE CONDENSED ME***

My facination with music and guitars started at a very early age. I began playing guitar when I was 9 years old. Started my first band and took up the fiddle at the age of 14. Mandolin and bass were introduced somewhere around 16 or 17. I became a full time musician by the age of 18. By my early twenties I began doing my own minor repairs and set-ups, as well as for friends.

By my early 30's I found myself in Nashville writing songs. Having some success as a writer, I took my first real royalty check and purchased a hand built guitar from a luthier friend of mine and became fascinated at the prospect of building my own guitars.

2005 presented itself as the opportune time for me to officially bring Armor Guitar Company to life and finally do what I feel all of my past experiences have been training me for.
