Bio

My husband and I opened a retail bead store (String Bead) in 1993 and we began making lampworked glass beads in 1996. We traveled around the country selling glass beads at various bead shows. In 2000 my daughter, Hannah was born and my bead making came to a screeching halt so that I could be a mother and run our bead shop. In 2002 I began making beads again. This past July (2006) we sold our bead store and our son, Jason was born. Now, I spend a lot of time with my children and make glass beads, fuse and make jewelry when I can.

We live in the Sierra Nevada foothills and my beads are inspired by nature. I have an obsession with flowers and I love trying to figure out how to get the many varieties to look realistic under glass.
