I am a full time art educator, obsessed with recycling and crocheting plastic bags. I live in Western Mass, the "happy valley" as some call it and I love designing and making handbags and accesories. It is my way of doing something productive that helps the environment. Read on to learn about my process and selling policies...

Bags come from all over the country - my mom, my friends, my friend's moms... and then there are the people I don't know- the people who I imagine have piles of bags in their kitchen cabinets! If you would like to send me your plastic grocery bags, wait until you have at least 50, send them to me, and I will send you a FREE mini change purse! Just email me at cara [!at] carataylor.com for details. *(Plastic bags must be the thin plastic bags similar to the ones from most grocery stores, not the heavier plastic, like a GAP bag or newspaper bag)
*NEW UPDATE: I am no longer accepting white (or mostly white) plastic bags because I have so many and no enough demand for that color. Sorry.
