Bio

Although she recieved her BA in Art with an emphasis in ceramics, Katherine did not start painting until her late 30's. When she did, she chose to work as a freelance illustrator, eventually adding gallery work to her mix. She moved to Portland, Oregon in 2002 where she eventually met her husband, a landscaper. They now live on a farm in the
Willamette Valley district where she looks out a studio window at old barns and fences, their sheep, one horse, goats and donkeys, barn cats and two dogs- and a variety of other creatures that wander on to their property. All end up
somewhere in her paintings.

While a painting fills her soul and feeds her bank account, she has always loved to create little oddities out of fabric, found materials - or whatever strikes her muse at the time. She wants her Etsy shop to share these oddities.
