Clementine (she's my avatar)and I love making these pins! They are collages that you can wear.

The pins are light, easy to wear and feel soft and warm when you touch them. I combine vintage Bakelite and Celluloid buttons, buckles and other bits from the 1940's, 50's and 60's, and finish them with modern findings and fastenings.

These old bits of someone's life have a soft, deep shine and feel unlike anything else. Each one is a little piece of history. Some of the pieces are not perfect but the little nicks and scratches are evidence of age and love.

Finding the "parts" is a treasure hunt, as they become more and more rare. I never pass an antique store or flea market without going on a hunt for more pieces. Buttons and parts of buckles and broken pieces of old toys and watches are treasures for me.

I am a painter, pastellist, collagist, maker of books, knitter, fabric enthusiast and lover of all things old and textured. These pins combine everything I love.
