Bio

I've been turning wood since I was in junior high school, a good number of years ago, and have been turning full-time for over 13 years. Although I'm primarily a craft artisan and turn gift-type items to pay the bills, I also make one-of-a-kind art objects as well as specialty items such as reproducing parts for old Victorian homes. Over the years, if it's round, I've either done it or probably could do it.

I'm a 13-year member of the Eugene Saturday Market, the oldest weekly handcrafted market in the country. The motto there is also "The maker is the seller."

I also teach turning classes at the local Woodcraft store. This combines my educational background with my chosen vocation. I really enjoy seeing someone's eyes light up when s/he first produces ribbons of shavings without really trying.

I take pride in my work. I make and sell everything as though my name were on it.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little something about me.
