Bio
I started creating fabulously artistic jewelry in 1991 (or something like that!). I actually designed and made some beautiful copper and bronze jewelry in metal shop class in the 10th grade, but I wasn’t thinking about becoming a jewelry artist at that time. (I really wish I could show those jewelry pieces, but they were lost a long time ago…)
My taste has changed since that time. To be able to suspend really smooth rocks in wire from leather cord necklaces is really fascinating. Hmmm, I haven’t done that in a really long time. No matter! I’m always evolving, so it could happen again!
In my constant evolution, I also love to create lots of originals with no duplicates. It keeps my mind sharp and I never get bored.
I've made my jewelry an illusion of intricacy. I like to keep things simple, so I start with eye-catching beads and then use wire, cord, and spacer/support beads as accessories. I like the beads to POP and they make the jewelry look like I've "slaved over a hot stove" when only designing the jewelry is most difficult part of jewelry making for me.
I’m glad that I found Etsy.com because I get to display my jewelry alongside some other very cool artists with great stuff. It’s inspiring and very energizing!
