Bio

I grew up in the midwest, Kansas City to be exact. Where all I wanted to do since I've had a choice in the matter is create Art. I would spend countless hours in my childhood garage (single car, without the car) where there were shelves of old nails, railroad spikes, rusted suspension springs... too many treasures to recount. Now it takes all my energy to resist creating that same garage... though I hope to have one someday.

www.ScottGarrette.Etsy.com is part of the Little Bit of Love Design Co.

Little Bit of Love Design Co. was created by Victoria and Scott Garrette in January of 2006. Our business is dedicated to creating and offering Original Independent Design Products. We specialize in Photography, Digital Graphics, Original Artwork (painting, drawing, sculpture,) Music, Writing, and more.

Art is a way of life and at Little Bit of Love Design Co. there are many ways to live and many lives to enrich through Art. Opportunities for inspiration can be found in the simplest everyday object, action and observation. We strive to direct those simple inspirations from our lives into our designs. At Little Bit of Love, we choose to "live life on Arts terms" by choosing to see beauty in the everyday, by enjoying the differences all around, by taking responsibility for our positive and negative feelings and understanding that the choices we make are our own. Our designs gain life from our choices, as do we.

I'm inspired by the details of nature, a leaf on a tree, a single flower bud, one rock amid a lake shore, as well as the connection that exists between two people in a conversation or two items side by side.

Square the Circle is a series of drawings and paintings inspired by a form of visual expression called Mandalas.

Fragile series - Lines on a page, defining space, creating shapes... I've always been fascinated by contour drawing. My wife, Victoria, is a very skilled contour drawing artist and she has inspired this series of digital drawings and prints. The imagery for this series is usually plant-life or people, both fragile.

Come and see a handmade studio I made with StrawBales with Earthen plaster and a Clay floor. It was my art studio and creative "living room" for a while.
