Hi Friends,

I am Maria, Etsy's CEO and delighted Etsy buyer.

I became an Etsy member in early 2007. My Etsy username is "Pesmou," which is Greek for "Tell Me.” I originally chose Pesmou because, as an American of Greek descent, it’s an easy word for me to remember. It now seems like a very fitting user name: I want the Etsy community to tell me what they want and need and how we can do better.

I buy plenty of gifts on Etsy and occasionally treat myself to something special too. My handsome fiancé recently surprised me with a variation of these earrings from Susan Barton at
