Bio

Art has always been my favorite thing to do, ever since crayons and fingerpaint in nursery school. I grew up in Ft. Pierce, FL, a small, rural town, in a neighborhood of retirees and no children. There wasn't much visual stimulation or culture, so I watched a lot of television and found a confidant in the world of art. I made fantastic creatures out of scraps of fabric and yarn, and little people out of champagne corks. Later, in my teen years, I was sewing my own clothes and developed a skill for realistic drawing.

After high school, I escaped to NYC, where I was overwhelmed with stimulation, and attended Parsons the New School for Design. The assignments were very structured based on Bauhaus curriculum and I don't think that there's an art or design student out there who enjoys being critiqued by professors on a daily basis. So as a diversion, I made cartoony things for fun, which I still do to this day. In my senior year, I interned with a special effects company and learned how to work with lots of different materials and techniques. I finished Parsons with a BFA in Product Design.

I now reside in Tampa, FL, which for me is a happy medium between bumkinville and the City. I'm a full-time artist and still addicted to television. Making fun stuff is my obsession.
