Bio

Hi! I'm the yarn maker behind Painted Skeins and an insatiable yarn collector myself. For me, yarn came before needles. I fell in love with my first skein of hand-painted yarn when I was a little girl and I saved up my allowance to buy it. After that, I taught myself to knit but I'm still saving that first skein for something special.

I've recently relocated from Brooklyn, NY to my hometown of Portland, OR, where I've found plenty of space to enhance my stash, leave my Louet out, and set up a dye studio.

I hope knitters and spinners will find something they like among my handspun skeins and hand-painted yarn and spinning fiber. I love making them (in my dog-friendly, smoke-free home).
