I handmake crochet hats, beenies, & caps. I also make Hemp & Native/Indigenous beaded style jewelry. Just recently I began my attempts at making tops... so clothing is next in my line of crochet designing. I will also start making beaded jewelry again, mostly earrings & medallions w/ peyote stitched designs.

Most of my beenies have a basic open-spaced design. It's the most popular style I make. I also get many requests 4 caps with small bills. I use cotton & acrylic yarns in regular, soft, plush, suede like, wooly, & fuzzy textures. Some types are limited as they aren't available later.

I experiment in my designs & stitches. I have created a seemless way when adding stripes 2 my designs, thus avoiding that ugly zig-zag U may see in the back of other hats.

I began crocheting when I was 10, but stopped by 12. I picked it back up about 9 yrs ago when a friend was making kufis 4 her husband. She showed me how 2 start a hat, & now I can't stop!

I've been making jewelry 4 just as long, mostly 4 friends & fun. Then I began getting requests 2 remake necklaces I'd made 4 myself etc... I love making Native inspired pieces; some are traditional style & some are contemporary. Most of the materials I use in my jewelry designs I find at powwows.

My Chids & Mi Amor definitely inspire me! As does mi Mama, Mother Earth (nature), my Mexica ancestors, ALL peoples, & Bob Marley!
