Hello!

This shop has been a long time coming. I've always been very passionate about self-expression through fashion. I think it's in my genes (and my jeans...hehe...) because my mother and sister are similarly obsessed, in their own remarkable ways. The items I'm attracted to are rare, strange, loud, subtle, crazy, and unique. My tastes are extremely diverse, and at the risk of sounding too confident, exquisite! I love, love, LOVE clothes, jewelry, and footwear from the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. With particular emphasis on the 1920's, and 1980's.

I live with my husband of almost 9 years, just outside of Vancouver, B.C. I'm a curatorial assistant by day, mad DIY fashionista by night. We live in a remarkable place 'in the country', the proud owners of one adorable kitty who runs wild and free on our 2.3 acres. We're both into old vinyl (LPs), vintage furniture, art, skateboarding, motorcycles, good food, wine, clean living, and are both non-smokers.

As I get into my 30's, I feel that I am getting closer and closer to the real, most authentic, purest parts of myself. I have so many interests in life that up until now, it has been very difficult for me to narrow my pursuits. I've been a lurker on many scenes, getting inspired over and over for what feels like years. I've finally decided to try and spread a little bit of my own luvin' through the glorious vehicle that is the NET. I hope you, dear etsy lover, will enjoy what I humbly set before your discerning eye.

DARKSTAR: In a galaxy full of shiny stars, a Dark Star's magnetism is so powerful, it eats all the light that surrounds it, and can eclipse all else.

A metaphor for my voracious fashion appetite, perhaps...

...or maybe a metaphor for your own natural magnetism, burning so bright, it eclipses all the paltry, cheap flickering 'stars' around you.
