Bio

I began my Etsy experience as a vintage seller. I had long wanted a shop that featured my handmade goods, but I also had a tiny little guy at home that required my constant attention. Now, I have a preschooler and a little more time, though just a tiny bit, to work in the studio on my own creations. I hand build or slip cast all of my pieces, and I love working with porcelain.

Though the focus of my shop has shifted from vintage to handmade items, vintage pieces still inspire me with their timeless beauty, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and often, mystery. I am especially fond of mid-century design - sometimes kitschy and playful, sometimes bold and modern.

I studied Architecture and Historic Preservation in college before ending up in culinary school, with a degree in pastry. Go figure.

I live in Chicago with my husband, son, and two dogs. I love to treasure hunt at estate sales, thrift stores, and during walks on the beach.
