I've always had a great NEED to make things. It's partly because I'm fidgety and partly because my day job is pretty abstract so I crave the satisfaction of a tangible product. Either way, this shop is the product of my insatiable desire to make stuff. Hope you like what you see.

FAQs

*Do you really find those curtains at thrift stores?
Yes. I heart Goodwill.

*Where do you come up with your designs?
Usually in tedious meetings.

*Do you do custom orders?
No. But don't be offended, it's not you, it's me. Because I use primarily recycled/ reclaimed materials, my stock is unpredictable, and I actually kinda like it that way. If you want something very, very specific there are tons of great etsy sellers that can help you, or check out Alchemy. Where possible I CAN do simple adjustments to existing items; like making a pair of curtains a few inches shorter.

*Do you do trades?
I love the idea of bartering, but I have WAY too much physical stuff in my life at present, so no trading for me right now.

*Why does X cost $5 and Y cost $8?
Prices are a function of cost of materials/size and time spent on the item. Mostly that means that the larger or more intensely appliqued an item is, the more it costs. If I'm using pre-made curtains from the thrift store, I spend less time on the final product, but my materials cost is higher. If I'm making the curtains from scratch, the material's cheaper, but then I spend more time on the finished object... etc etc.

*Will you ship to a third party?
Sure, just let me know when you check out.

*Do you do gift wrapping?
Not usually. I'm big on recycling and haven't really found any good sources for affordable, attractive, recycled gift wrap. I'm hoping to figure out something before the holidays though.
