Bio

First and foremost a printmaker, I love making all kinds of things. Secondly, I am obsessed with anything vintage, especially clothes and jewelry. I grew up in Oregon drawing pictures all over my schoolwork, then I went to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and discovered printmaking. Along the way I learned to sew, crochet, knit, and paint.

For my printmaking, I use birch plywood from the local lumberyard, and carve images based on drawings I've made. Then I print the images using, mostly, Charbonnel oil-based etching ink on, usually, Rives BFK cotton rag paper. I have a small etching press, which takes up my whole "dining room" and which I adore. Printing is fun!

As far as inspiration, I am mostly obsessed with people, and groups of people, though I have been branching out into nature more recently. Patterns of all kinds inspire me, and I try to incorporate them as much as possible into my work.
