Une Petite Etoile* is fine handmade design.

The brand emerged in 2006 with modern designs that are uniquely practical and whimsical, all fashioned from the highest quality materials.

Born of her interest in hip, sustainable, sweatshop-free products for her own family, Shelagh Nichols Traill founded the company while expecting her third child. All designs are tested in her British-American household, ensuring that our products withstand the rigors of little people.

Une Petite Etoile* merchandise is handcrafted in Florida.

We only use the highest quality designer fabrics in our creations.

The snap closures on my designs are professional series resin or stainless snaps, applied with an industrial-strength snap press. We do not use velcro closures on any of our products - in our own 'life testing' we've seen it wreak havoc in the laundry, scratch a little person's delicate skin and prove less than reliable over time.

The bibs, luxury burp cloths, bedding sets and quilted items in our collection are lined with pure, American-made organic cotton batting. No polyester, and no sweatshops.

All of our appliquéd designs are applied to pure cotton knits from American Apparel, a sweatshop-free company that manufactures all of their products in California.
