snug's Profile

Bio

snug evolved out of the coming together of several loves: of plants, of process,
of drawing and painting, of the world around me. I graduated a few of years ago
with BFA in sculpture, though I have been pulled towards textiles from the time
I was very young, hiding under the table as my mother sewed, collecting rocks
and drftwood, shells and buttons, and sewing them to whatever scraps I could find.
It is important to me to use organic materials, and to use natural dyes that are
harvested responsibly and free of harmful mordants, so that my work is low
impact. I appreciate organic material against my skin. I also use recycled materials,
scouring thrift stores for linen, cotton and wool, both because it is exciting
to transform an existing object into something new and because it is in line
with my principles.
Please visit often as I will be adding to my inventory on a regular basis.
Blessings,

Jen
