Cottage Industry

Dress Me Up is proud to be an art-based independent cottage industry located in Victoria BC, Canada. All Dress Me Up products are the dream-child of Tressa Brotsky, Owner and Designer, and brought to life by Tressa, assisted by a very few, very special, very accomplished craftspeople. Each of Dress Me Up’s Organic Soft Toys and Accessories for Young Children are meticulously handmade in small batches, ensuring confidence and loads of good energy in every aspect of creation and production.

Slow Organics

Tressa is proud to choose USA grown and milled certified organic cottons, and USA produced lamb’s wool for her Dress Me Up products. She thinks of materials sourced from closer to home as ‘slow organics’ – encouraging a smaller production footprint and neighbourly business relationships. By embracing organically produced goods, and choosing her sources carefully, Tressa knows that Dress Me Up is making a difference in the hands of our little ones, and in the cotton fields and farmlands of the world.

Arts Inspired

Tressa Brotsky is a mother, visual arts graduate, and child & youth advocate. She is passionate about growing imaginations and engaging creative play, and draws inspiration from birch trees, gardens and Minimalist painters for the original drawings found on her toys. Creating Dress Me Up’s Organic Soft Toys for Young Children gives voice to Tressa’s own vision of environmentally responsibility and share her desire for a more collective, attentive relationship with nature.
