Bio

Name is Becky. Also goes by "whack dance knitter", "rabbit" and "tortilla girl". Happy wife. Doting mother. Recovering corporate lawyer. Designer. Pattern maker. Knitter. Is known to host seaming parties and work picot edge while sipping a kir royal. Tends to dance while wearing hand-knits.

I design and create clothing and accessories full-time, and TortillaGirl is my one-woman show. I run it all by lonesome in my current hometown of Lyon, with lots of help from my husband who often bikes my parcels to the post office for me. I am formally-trained in the field of fashion design and pattern drafting: I studied a double degree in both fashion design/illustration and tailoring/draping at l'Ecole Superieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode in France. All my designs are original and lovingly built exclusively by me from scratch, in France, in my little home studio where smoking is a big, fat no-no.
