Hi there! Welcome and thanks for visiting. My name is Jaime and this is my business Little Bird Creations.

A little history on how things came about:

I have always loved designing and sewing and was very blessed to have a Gramma to teach me so many things with sewing, crochet and a little knitting. Although, I have to admit I am a terrible knitter. I much prefer crochet, though I greatly admire those who have the talent of knitting and create such beautiful things! My Gramms also taught me some hand sewing and embroidery along the way as well. I am so very grateful for her!

Through the years, as I grew in my new found love of sewing, I began designing as well. I would design and make clothes for my dolls and had a phase of making sock bunnies...lots of them. Once in middle and high school years, I decided it was time to try my hand at sewing my own clothes. Fun! I have this thing (still) of "if I can't find it, I will design and make it!", which included me designing and sewing my prom dress among other things. So, thats what I did a lot of then and still do some now.

Fast forward several years....I find out I am pregnant with my son! Soon after my son was born, I started making baby items for him. That grew into making baby gifts for friends, which eventually lead to making things here on Etsy and beyond. In between here and there as my son went from baby to toddler to pre-schooler, I have tried to expand my items here and there to include things from bodysuits/tees, booties to little daypacks and toddler blankets as well. Now that my child is school age, I have begun to include items that are more accessory focused such as coffee cuffs, eye glass cases and the like.
At times you will also find some one-of-a kind items that may or may not make a long run. Certain designs will go longer and there will be new ones added on occasion. There is always something happening at Little Bird, so come visit often to see what's new!

How I do things:

I love how unique and truly individual handmade items are and more often than not things you aren't going to find just anywhere. Through the last few years I have become more fond of sewing by hand. The majority of my items are completely hand cut and sewn. It may take a little more time than by machine, but it makes for a much more unique and one-of-a-kind item!

I encourage you to take a look at my shop and enjoy! Custom orders are always welcome and if there is something you have in mind, but don't see, just ask! I am happy to work with you to create that special one of a kind item.
