Bio

Sleeping Forest Studios is made up of Jai and Lauren Soloy. We make high quality handcrafted wooden objects in our small but mighty shop in rural Nova Scotia.
Jai Soloy does all of the turned work featured in our shop. His life goal is to become a professional, full-time spinning top maker. He currently moonlights as a theatre manager for the only live theatre in town (well, technically the next town over.)
Lauren works part-time in a local cabinetshop where she builds a lot of kitchens. She gets home and is delighted to work on projects she can actually lift all by herself.
We both love to visit the city, but are most happy in our big old house in our small quiet town, surrounded by cats and bunnies and good books.
