In the Victorian age, the library was positioned near the entryway of the home and was stocked with objects found around the world. Displayed items were intended to showcase the intellect and enculturation of their owners. Pipertree jewelry and bags - a timeless assortment of curiosities from across the globe – give modern collectors an opportunity to do the same.

Alexandra Lauro, Brooklyn native and creator of Pipertree Leather Goods, interweaves fragments of Earth and stone with lanyard and leather to create stalactite adornments both of nature and in nature. Pursuant to artisan tradition, each piece is purposefully conceived and meticulously composed. Her creations are inspired by everything from the rolling plains to the sandy stretches of the Sahara , the marigold shrines of el Dia de los Muertos to the mysticism of Santeria. She believes good luck occurs not by chance, but by design.

In the event of a custom handbag, I do not accept refunds or exchanges due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the item! With past custom bag requests, there has been much communication regarding the construction, materials, etc. This includes hand sketches and photos of the bag's completion process! So the bag should be all that you ever hoped for and you wouldn't want to return or exchange it anyway! ;)
