Bio

I have recently discovered that fabric can be my paint, brush, and canvas to create an art I didn't know I had in me. Now I'm full of the thrill of discovery and nearly drowning in ideas.

I'm a strange little thing, with very eclectic tastes and ideas, a fact which is reflected in my purchases, favorites, and offerings.

There are plenty of dachshunds, yes. My little brother Petey is a chubby, elderly, black and tan dachshund and lives in North Carolina. I miss him very much. My sons are two cocker spaniels, but I have found it very difficult to portray the cocker spaniel in the kind of work that I do. I'm still hoping to manage it.

I also have a great affinity for the unexpected. The armadillo, for example, is exactly the kind of person I like to look at and feature in my work. Also, camels are a big favorite of mine, both in abstract and real life.

For my day job, I am one of the thousands of unemployed, educated professional Americans they talk about on NPR. I look for jobs, I do my art, and I make a surprisingly good housewife!

I'm on a never-ending quest to find that book that will say on its cover, in large, friendly letters, "Don't Panic." If you understand my quest, well, you're a nerd. Good to know you.
