Hello there-

My name is Jules. I am 25 years of age and have enjoyed every moment I can remember of those years creating. Art is my therapy.
I have been exclusively a traditional artist, up until only months ago. Jewelry seems to be the dominating medium I work in these days.

|MESOPUTINA|
-A Short Etymology-
Meso- (mee-zo; meh-zo; meh-so. Meaning early) and Putina- (pu-tee-na. Being derivative of Rasputin). Be it in liking the names and sounds of these words there is no other significance to the name.

The styles I work toward are: what is in style, vintage fair, ethnic and historical pieces, and fantasy costume jewelry.
My work owes its thanks to my adventurous spirit, curiosity of how things work, thirst for knowledge and boundless imagination. Always inventing in the wee hours of the mornings when I should be sleeping; dreaming up ideas when my mind should be resting.
There is no rest for the creative.

I like to believe that anything of my original devising, that my influences can be found in the dismal and intricate masterpieces of Keith Thompson, Tim Burton and the complex sounds of NIN; and for a touch of flamboyance, you will find my work owes a great deal of homage to Vivienne Westwood and sometimes the uber-urban fashion sense of the Japanese.

You will find my work as of late is divided into two segments, Hot Press and One of a Kind (OOAK).

-Hot Press being my larger out put. Simple but stylish works that can be duplicated with ease. They can be made up quickly and appeal to a larger crowd, and are relatively inexpensive.

-O O A K are my signature pieces. These pieces are my art work. I challenge myself in the design and use more obscure, more valuable materials. While I can't produce an exact copy of these I can always make something similar to what was previous. Making an OOAK can go on for a month+. These pieces are appreciated by many, loved by few and sell slowly. OOAK usually have a moderately high price tag.
