Well hello! Apparently you are curious about my shop, and I thank you for that. Now the question you were probably looking to have answered...
"Why crocheted sea creatures?"

I originally intended to go to school for Marine Biology (but quickly switched back to Art... my lifelong interest) so that helps to explain why I find sea creatures so fascinating. Their simple yet baffling forms and myriad colors lend themselves very well to the visual arts, and especially to free-form crochet. I design all my patters after having stared for hours at pictures and, when I am lucky, actual specimens. Moving to the coast of California from Wisconsin will do wonders for my access to actual beings of the sea.

I have another etsy account-- ElleSeaYes-- that so far I have not done anything with, but you never know. I am thinking of selling more of my art (paintings, drawings, collages and more that may have less to do with sea creatures) over there. Full disclosure!
