Bio

I'm a self-taught artist who learned at my mother's knee. She would teach us how to make collages from magazines when we had "free" time. Our daddy was over-seas often due to the Viet Nam war so mother spent many hours teaching us how to give rein to our imagination through art and poetry.

My biggest enemy is conformity. When, for whatever reason, my pieces don't sell, I get so very tempted to change my personal style to whatever is popular or 'common' at the moment. But my soul would be betrayed. My heart would be sad. It would show in my day to day life. It would show in my laugh, in my behavior, in my self-esteem. I have to be true to my style. My creativity takes me on whatever journey it's supposed to take me and it may take you on a different one. My hope is that just for a moment, if only for a moment, my art makes your soul speak out loud.
