PeachStreet's Profile

Bio

I'm Jamie Lott of Peach*Street*Primitives. My inner artist began to emerge very early on. Apparently I didn't sleep much as a child and since I came along
14 years after my parents' first child - SURPRISE! - my mom was ill equipped for my restlessness. Finally, I began to amuse myself by creating murals on my bedroom walls while everyone else was
asleep. Before long my walls were entirely covered from the highest spot I could reach by standing on my bed to the very bottom. And so my journey began....and my mom got some sleep!

I am a self-taught artist and I enjoying creating with fabric, clay, painting...just about anything. I live in Southeast Georgia. If you aren't familiar with the area, it is steeped in history. Old plantations still stand,
pre-Civil War mansions maintain their glory and ancient cemetaries are alive with the past. I love old things and around here one never lacks inspiration for primitive and folk art designs.
