laurennoelle's Profile

Bio

I'm Lauren-Noelle, a 20-something single femme living in a South Florida apartment, working from home due to a slight disability.

Thank you for helping me embark on my dreams of becoming a handbag (and fashion) designer!

Here are my shops on Etsy:

laurennoelle - YOU ARE HERE
millyandnans - fibre arts
littlevictories - graphics

And "designerbagdream" to collect/display purse favorites for my bag blog.

ABOUT MY BAG-ADDICT SELF:

I make bags because I LOVE bags, and I can't help but design, I like things MY WAY with my name, to boot! I'd wanted to be a fashion designer since I was 12, but was discouraged. I kept sketching while floating through other hobbies and majors.

Here is the full(?) list of everything I've wanted to be since I was in first grade:

Minnie Mouse at Disney World, cheerleader, hair stylist, fashion designer, Broadway actress, singer/songwriter, graphic designer, writer, fashion blogger/journalist, and finally: handbag designer.

I'm a self-study, and expert on the design of bags. Thanks to shopping daily as part of my fashion blogging job, along with thoroughly examining designer handbags to avoid fakes on eBay, I know ... *everything?* He he.

I discovered my first designer purse in Macy*s, it was a COACH. I went on to get addicted to Coach and Chloe bags, while equally obsessing over my dream career and sketching.

I never really thought I'd be a sewing whiz though, but I was probably just made nervous by sewing machine prices being in the investment range. I even researched professional manufacturing, which would have cost a whole lot more than all of my (now) machines combined! Silly. Of course that was why I didn't go through with it though.

And then for a while I studied knit bags, and decided that's where I would start. Scared somehow for long, long months, suddenly a chain of occurrences caused me to get a sewing machine and start knitting up a storm.

Knitting is a gateway drug. Mostly, it was the YARN. I worked on my yarn-y things and opened an Etsy shop, while I also practiced sewing and making bags.

Then I moved, took a break to settle in, and came back to find that I loved sewing linings so much that it was becoming my FAVORITE portion of my craft projects. Then I realized I was GOOD at sewing.

Then came more challenges, thick layers of knit and knit-like fabrics, layers and layers of interfacing, and then .... leather. A 3rd layer of it and my first machine broke. (My 2nd was "just" an embroidery machine.) So it was off to find that industrial-but-affordable machine. Somehow, it does exist!!

Annnd then came learning this new Singer. The foot pedal, the threading, all the new options... Sometime during this I became an even better sewer. (I may be bisexual, but I sew straight, he he.) Yet I'm still in the getting familiar with my machine phase.

It's still slow-going, moreso than I thought when opening the shop, but I'm coming out with more purses!

Thanks for reading! Below is my terms.

([] SHOP POLICIES: [])

WORK ENVIRONMENT

I live and work always in a 100% smoke-free environment, and currently have no pets in my home.

CONTACT

All contact through "By Lauren-Noelle" @ Etsy.com business will be directed through Etsy's "Convo" or "Conversation" feature. (When I send them, you'll get an e-mail, as well.)

I am on this site throughout the day, every day, and you should normally hear back from me within 24 hours.

If I have trouble reaching you, I will only continue to attempt through these convos, unless there is an emergency or an urgent matter goes without response to for a lengthy period of time. Then I turn to your Etsy/PayPal e-mail address(es). Please check Etsy or your e-mail!

*Note* I do not check e-mail like I check Etsy. It is NOT a recommended way of reaching me, and I will not be held responsible for any amount of time lapsed. I need to keep organized, and Etsy.com has everything we need to communicate. Thank you for your understanding.

PAYMENT

I accept PayPal, money order, or cashier's check. Note monetary refunds will not be given through the mail.

If ordering from multiple sellers, you must complete checkout if paying by PayPal by coming back to your Etsy checkout and going through PayPal again. If you fail to complete checkout immediately, no worries, you can find an invoice in Your Etsy, and I will also send you a PayPal invoice.

COUPON CODES?

We do not accept Etsy (or any) coupon codes. Currently those are only valid in select other shops.

SHIPPING

I ship either First Class mail or Priority depending on the item, and try to find the best price for you, but more attention is paid to purse value ($60 + [at least] imho needs insurance, therefore gets Priority). Shipping should take about 3 days within the continental US.

I do ship worldwide, and have tried to provide the most accurate shipping quotes. It is your responsibility to make sure my package is legally allowed sent into your country. I will check, and contact you to clear things up, and most likely cancel your order and refund you (through PayPal).

I will not mark my packages as gifts or undervalue them below sale cost.

DIFFERENT SHIPPING DESTINATIONS

I can ship to any addresses (not just PayPal confirmed) that are listed in both your Etsy and PayPal accounts. You must make both the same as each other when ordering. Your Etsy address is especially important to be accurate, as I'll usually only check that unless your package gets priority mail, in which case I print a label through PayPal, anyway.

If you wish to split up an order to ship to two different destinations, you must place the order as two separate orders instead, and make sure you have correct address for each respectively.

SHIPPING NOTICE

Within 24 hours after shipment, I will check off the order as shipped on its order page on Etsy.com. Please check for this, when wondering. I may or may not contact you separately, with it being more likely not, if I've contacted you prior to that within a short amount of time. This is to benefit you and your inbox, as well as me.

RETURNS / REFUND ACCEPTED

Returns will be accepted for new, unused, unaltered items. Items with damage you caused will not be accepted for return. Refunds will be given minus shipping costs. Notification of return must be received prior to shipping back the item and within three days of your receipt of package. Return packages must be postmarked 7 days or under after your receipt date.

I will not issue monetary refund via mail (check or money order). I will only issue monetary refunds through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, but paid with credit card through them, your refund will be returned to your credit card. If you do not wish to do business with PayPal and you paid by mail, I can only offer you a shop credit for ANY of my three shops.

Other 2, again, are: millyandnans.etsy.com and littlevictories.etsy.com.

ALCHEMY DEPOSITS

Are non-refundable. Even if you send back your bag/item. Deposits are 50% of the total proposed amount, so you will only receive 50% back. Shipping is also non-refundable.

FAULTY ITEMS / QUALITY GUARANTEE

No one's perfect, but I work hard to make quality items. If your item gets damaged due to faulty workmanship, etc. Send it back for either repair, replacement or 100% refund, as for which deemed by me as necessary.

LOST ITEMS

All items deemed of designer value by me will get insured packaging. Therefore I can get my money back, and can send you a replacement or something similar if materials are too rare.

In other circumstances, I can make a replacement with minimal supply costs plus shipping.

In the case of my current method of t-shirt design for graphic tees, my cost is almost completely "supply". But I will charge you a discount and ship directly from my printer. (Having already inspected the previous item.)
