Bio

Hi, I'm Moira McLaughlin (MORE-a Mc-LOCK-lin). I began my career as an artist in 2002 when I made a dog collage for each of my family members for Christmas. They were a huge hit, and it inspired me I start my company DreamDogsArt.com where I make custom collages and dog art products that I sell worldwide.

To spread the word about my designs, I spent a lot of time emailing bloggers asking them to post my work on their sites. Then, an epiphany, why don't I start my own blog?! Duh. So in March 2007, I launched Dog Art Today, where I look at the art world, past and present, through the subject of dogs. It's also become a place where artists, writers, designers, and filmmakers who have a passion for dogs can promote their work and connect with each other.

I have been an actor's assistant (Kevin Costner), a screenwriter (no, nothing you've heard of), and a video producer, but being an artist and a blogger has been by far the most satisfying career yet. And, I get to stay home with my Longhaired Dachshund muse, Darby. Perfect!
