Hello! I am a WAHM of two young kids, one boy and one girl. I am addicted to crochet and knitting. I do it whenever, wherever I can... while we wait for the bus, hanging out with friends... Our home had become a web of yarn and maze of finished items. My husband politely suggested that maybe I sell some of these things.. So here they are. I would love to hear from you!

***** In August 2008, Congress passed legislation requiring all toys and clothes for children, even handmade, to be certified by third-party testing facitlities to be free of lead and phthalates. While product safety is important (I'm a Mom TOO), the problem with this is that it can cost $100 or much more per item for testing. This is just not financially feasible for anyone making handmade items. Would you want to pay $103 for my mini cupcakes?

It is very likely that anyone selling handmade toys or clothing for children on Etsy will have to cease operations as of February 10, 2009. If you feel as strongly as I do that this not happen, please find out all you can about the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and write to your representatives to see if there can be some sort of amendment to keep small businesses up and running!

I go through phases of making things and for some reason I cannot get enough of kid's play food. It just makes me laugh when I am making it.

I love making things for my kids, so I strive to make things that are durable, washable and FUN! My products have been sold at the gift shops around town and used in preschool and kindergarten classrooms.

For those with allergy concerns, my creations are made in a pet-free, smoke-free environment.
