Welcome to Fussy Couture where Timeless, Sophisticated, and Whimsical designs are created by hand to welcome your little ones with Comfort and Modern Style.

Why "Fussy Couture"?... well, I have been told a time or two how "fussy" I am about details. Only the finest materials and techniques will make each product "fussy" enough.

The products I make are designed with luxurious textiles. The blankets are made out of minky swirl and wide-wale chenille. My background as a Physical Therapist has taught me that touch is crucial to a child's cognitive and physical development, but it is my experience as a mother that has proven this to me. Because of this, I have made every effort to give children something interesting to comfort them and aid their tactile development.

The pacifier clips are designed to allow your baby to self soothe with a clean binky. No fussy baby... only Fussy Couture!

Hence, "Fussy Couture... for your calm sweet babies".

{PAYMENT}

PayPal is the primary payment method on Etsy, and all major credit cards are accepted via this secure process. When you select paypal as your payment method, you will be redirected to their website where you may complete your payment.

If you prefer not to use PayPal:
I also accept money orders and personal checks. I ship out orders after payment clears, and Custom orders will begin only after payment clears.

{SHIPPING}

All products listed are made and ready to ship out. I ship out every 2-4 business days unless earlier shipping is requested by the customer.

Every order is shipped either First Class or Priority Mail. I always ship to the address you provide to etsy unless otherwise notified.

Shipping charges reflect exact shipping costs plus packaging materials. I make every effort to keep shipping charges fair and accurate. If you purchase 3 or more items, you may always contact me for a private listing with more accurate shipping.

Rates include delivery confirmation within the United States and you will be able to track your package online for your convenience. International customers desiring delivery confirmation and insurance should contact me directly for a quote.

Fussy Couture offers insurance for your shipment. Insurance is optional, and must be requested (and paid for) by the buyer prior to shipment.

Expedited shipping services are always available upon request.

Fussy Couture Customers are welcome to return merchandise for a full refund or an exchange for any reason up to 30 days after the date of purchase.

Fussy Couture is a partner with "Samaritan hands". We are sponsoring a child's christian education in a country that is 3rd in the world in corruption... Paraguay. The vision of the New Horizon School is to train and prepare a new generation of leaders who are guided by Biblical principles and the Holy Spirit.

{CARE INSTRUCTIONS}

All soft goods are machine washable (warm or cold). The drying instructions vary and each item comes with a specific care instruction card for your convenience.

The pacifier clips are hand wash--lay flat to dry.

{A LITTLE ABOUT ME}

My name is Cassandra, and I am a temporarily retired Physical Therapist, wife and mother of two beautiful children. My husband's career as a Naval Aviator has us moving around the country quite often, and I feel so fortunate that I am able to take a hiatus from he demanding world of healthcare. I feel a strong commitment to our family first; as my husband's job requires much travel. So while our children are little and not yet attending school, I am proud to stay at home with them.

So how did Fussy Couture come to be?
During my childhood summers, I would always visit my grandparent's house, and that is where I became inspired by my grandfather's ability as a tailor. He was a hard working, talented man who had an amazing eye for detail. The mere thought of designing something and creating it by hand in whatever fabric you wanted was so fun for me! My favorite memory of his sewing is a Homecoming dress that he custom made for me out of Emerald Green Taffeta. It still hangs in my closet today (no matter how many times we must move).

Each time my husband and I welcomed a child into our home, I felt this uncontrolable nesting urge to hand fashion burp cloths and blankets for our children. Going to the store with my Grandpa and picking out that Green Taffeta had made such an impression on me. I wanted original design. I wanted items that when strewn about our home would be a treat for our eyes, not a pastel distraction... thus, Fussy Couture was born.

Fussy Couture began as a hobby that I have nurtured into a small independent design company. I am proud to say Fussy Couture is available in some of the finest boutiques across the country. My signatures are my Grandfather's great attention to detail, modern timeless design, unique soft textures, and fair pricing... All of the things that I look for when I purchase fussy luxuries.

{PRODUCTS}

You will find an assortment of BLANKETS available with a wide range of unique textures to pamper your little ones with. We make our blankets with minky swirl, flat minky, and a Vintage wide-wale chenille. They come in a variety of sizes to accomodate everyone's needs from crib to travel. Each blanket is lined with interfacing or American made cotton batting to give it just the right luxurious weight.

We have adjustable BIBS and coordinating BURP CLOTHS available. They are lined with interfacing for a luxurious weight and extra absorbency. On the reverse is a luxurious vintage wide-wale Chenille.

And don't forget about our gorgeous PACIFIER CLIPS. A few of these really add spice to your little ones' wardrobes. We don't use plastic alligator clips as they tend to wear out over time. We use an industrial metal clip that can be attached to clothing, straps and much more. The pacifier end is attached with a snap. Both the snap and the metal clip make it difficult for children to remove the clip keeping the pacifier in arms reach at all times.

You will also find our “FUSSY CLUTCH” (diaper & wipe clutch) in a variety of patterns.

We are currently designing the perfect CHANGING PAD to take with you when you are on the go. Check back soon to see the unveiling of our new design.

MATERIALS:

Fussy Couture uses only the finest 100% cottons available today. We line our cottons with interfacing for a luxurious weight and absorbency when needed. We also use 100% American-Made Cotton Batting.

You will find our blankets are made out of a variety of carefully chosen textures ranging from minky swirl to chenille . We have made every effort to give your children something interesting to comfort them and aid their tactile development. My background as a Physical Therapist has taught me that touch is crucial to a child's cognitive and physical development, but it is my experience as a mother that has proven this to me. Unfortunately, you cannot feel how soft our fabrics are over the internet. But you should know that each fabric has been chosen based on it's "snuggle" factor. Our daughter Charlotte is in charge of Quality Assurance here at Fussy Couture. She takes her job quite seriously at 22 mos. of age. No fabric makes it's way into our line without her utmost approval!!
