Sewing my dolls, "shelf-sitters", and other items gives me (a grandmother and great-grandmother) many hours of enjoyment --- from creating the patterns I use to finding fabric for their clothing, and seeing them take on form and personality as the sewing progresses. No two dolls are exactly alike, owing to the variety of fabrics and colors used, and other aspects of hand sewing. These dolls, shelf sitters and other "critters" are not toys and are not intended for children, but rather for the enjoyment of fans and collectors.
