enso's Profile
Bio
My introduction to jewelry and my first love is beadweaving. The meditative repetition, the concept of building something out of small identical units - these appeal to my senses and my experience. I am also gaining interest and appreciation for gemstones - their clarity, individuality, their nuanced differences. Weaving is a way of clothing a stone, creating a backdrop for it.
My materials for this line consist of precious plated Japanese glass beads, gemstones, either nylon filament fishing line by fireline (noted for lasting strength and durability) or natural silk line, noted for same. Simple and elemental materials both you and I want to spend time with.
Enso is a high-end line which serves as a balance and a contradiction to my better known shop and line, Bombalurina, which celebrates the vintage, kitsch, kitchen sink joys of costume jewelry.

This jewelry is made in a home in which my clove-smoking boy is exiled outside with his nasty habit. I say this in the interest of disclosure to the extremely smoke allergic. And I have cats.

CARE AND FEEDING
-----------------
plated glass:
Miyuki delica beads are a superior and wonderful product! However, please consider that plating is plating is plating. Delica beaded jewelry is not recommended as a day-in-day-out piece of jewelry, rather one worn on specific occasions. This will drastically prolong the life of your delica beaded item. Different levels of stress on the beads, even different body chemistry can affect plating differently and in ways that can't necessarily be predicted. Also, do not store your plated glass item in direct sunlight.
sterling:
To prevent tarnish, store your sterling beaded item in a ziploc bag with a copper piece. If tarnish starts to appear, massage a little baking soda over the beads and dust them off again with a soft cloth - this should help without harming the silk threads.
RETURNS
-------
Returns will be entertained on a case-by-case and limited basis. While I want you to be thrilled with your jewelry, all photographs and descriptions are as accurate as possible - please don't hesitate to ask any question whatsoever before buying - I never mind talking to my customers!
If you are not satisfied with your items, please send me a note of some kind so we can reach a reasonable solution.
Returns will only be taken if agreed to beforehand and the shipping of returns is the liability of the buyer.
