DESIGNER:
My love affair with the art of adornment began at the tender age of 3, when I started picking up beads under my godmother’s workbench. Art and I have finally run away together.

I continue to be influenced by the memory of glittering art nouveau and deco jewelry my mother used to sell, as well as the beauty I see in the electronic and mechanical objects of our daily lives. I love taking functional materials from one area of daily experience and turning them into jewelry or costume.

SUSTAINABILITY:
My original metalwork is cast in reclaimed silver at the Greenest refinery in the USA. Whenever possible, I buy components from family businesses, and include vintage parts from small antique shops around this country as well as fair trade components from around the world.

When I’m not playing with beads, metal, feathers, wire, and fire, I can occasionally be found dancing.
