Nestled away in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia you can find the studio of Point of View Glass and glass artisan Katrina Fleming. Welcome to my online store and thank you for taking the time to view my work.

Glass has been a constant passion and joy in my life since the mid 90’s. For the first 10 years I focused solely on Stained Glass art, developing private commissions, as well as, being the “artisan in residence” for a small glass supply company, designing and construction all their art glass requirements. Through this valuable experience I was able to hone my skills and keep my "finger on the pulse" of the art glass community. It soon became apparent that there was great interest, as well as an immense pool of talented glass artisans being wooed by lampwork glass bead making.

In January of 2003, I participated in a Lampwork Bead Making class and haven't looked back. The experience was liberating. While working in a familiar medium I was able to develop a new skill set and further explore my creative potential. Since then I have been mesmerized by hot glass. Lampwork bead making is a gift to my self, a form of meditation and therapy. My mind becomes entranced watching hard cool glass relinquish itself to fire, embrace a steel mandrel, the mystery of glass reaction and finally the wonder of discovery within a truly unique bead. Only then does the inspiration for a piece of Jewellery reach fruition. Truly one of a kind as each one is individually and carefully crafted. These little gems are miniature works of wearable art which can accompany a person through their day.

Working with glass brings me joy and makes me happy. If I create something you love and want, then I'm only too happy to send it out into the world. It gives me the opportunity to play with more glass.
