Aloha and welcome to my Etsy store! I started making bags following an injury at work. During the two years of surgeries and rehab I searched for my passion and found a lot of joy in creating novelty handbags. Some were elegant silk and feather creations...my DIVAs! They all get birthdays and bios when they are complete. Other bags were just for fun to crack myself up like my watermelon bag.

I am always looking for unusual items to make purses out of like my map bag. That is also how I began making bags out of potato sacks and coffee bags. I am an Idaho transplant living in Hawaii so somehow the two make sense to me!

I believe that your purse should be more than just a receptacle to hold your girly stuff. It should say something about you, your sense of humor, where you are from or even your dreams and aspirations.

I hope my bags can bring you joy. They may even be icebreakers by helping to start conversations. In the interest of disclosure I must warn you that some of my bags are flirts. One of my customers was approached my a handsome older gentleman in the market on a frigid winter day in Montana. She was carrying a Kona Coffee Bag and he commented to her "I bet you wish you were there!" This customer swears it was the bags fault....she did nothing to get this extra attention! So, WARNING! If you do not want attention from handsome men, DO NOT carry a Sasaki Bag!
