Bio

In the day, a self employed translator - at night, transformed into a craftsperson who love beads and making jewellery. My style leans towards simple and elegant and most pieces are one of a kind-ish. All metals are Sterling silver or fine silver, unless otherwise stated. The Bali beads I use are actually hand made in Bali and the Hill Tribe beads are artisan made in Thailand and Fair Trade approved (from Shiana.com or otherwise fairly traded).

The name "Silverknuten" means "the silver knot" in Swedish and is a play on words based on my last name, which translated into English means "Knots". Incidentally, Silverknuten is also the name of a hill in Sweden not so far from where I live where they used to mine silver. I didn't know that when I chose the name, but I think it's kind of nice.
