Hi, I'm Vickie Warburton and Welcome to my Etsy Shoppe! I hope you enjoy your browsing here.
I love beads! I've played with beads since I was a little girl of about 8 years of age. Remember "love beads" and Daisy chains? (Ok, my age is showing here!) I've done a lot of different kinds of beadwork from simple stringing to complex peyote stitch designs. I learned to do beadweaving from an Ogallala Souix lady many years ago. From that I moved on to other forms of beading.
I have dabbled in many different arts and crafts from country painting to quilting to building doll house miniatures to polymer clay. I always came back to beads. So making beautiful beads and jewelry is where I have decided to stay!
I have long admired the beautiful and complex lampwork beads of Leah Fairbanks and Kim Osibin. I was fascinated with those beads! I was especially fascinated with the goddess beads! So, I decided to take a beadmaking class. After taking just a one day basic beadmaking class on a hothead torch, I was hooked!!
I've been making beads for about 9 years now, and I love every minute of it! Rarely do I reproduce a set of beads, usually because I can't remember what I did. You'd think I'd make notes, wouldn't you? But who has time to make notes when you're melting glass!! I try to take a workshop at least once a year to improve my skills and learn new things. It also helps me stay "fired up" with new ideas!
I work in my little studio in our back yard in the beautiful Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas.
I work on a Carlisle Mini-CC oxygen propane torch with Moretti or Effetre glass from Italy to make my beads, which are all fully kiln-annealed for durability and long lives.

Any questions regarding my work, or shipping, etc, please don't hesitate to email me.
