At Matatabi I will be bringing you a gleeful selection of Japanese fabrics. Some of the fabrics you see will be offered in limited quantities.

All of the fabric in my store is not pre-cut (except the fabric in the fat quarter section). If you order more than one 1/2 yard you will receive the total as one piece of fabric.

Shipping and handling

I have set my shipping prices so that combined shipping and handling is automatically calculated at the checkout.
The combined shipping feature can be confusing so I will explain a little here.
On every item at Matatabi you can see two shipping prices, for example, $3.00 ($1.60 if shipped with another item). If two items are ordered, the basic shipping fee of $3 would apply to the first item, and an additional $1.60 would apply to the second item.
This ensures that the basic shipping cost for the heaviest item is covered, and the additional shipping price reflects the increase in weight.

Your order will be shipped within 4 business days once payment has cleared. Shipping takes place very day from Monday to Friday. I ship via international airmail and shipping to most international destinations usually takes from 7-14 days.
Airmail does not provide a tracking number or insurance. In the rare event that a parcel becomes lost I cannot be held responsible. If you would prefer your order to be sent by EMS insured express mail, please contact me for shipping rates (EMS prices start from $10 and rise according to the weight of the package).

We particularly recommend EMS for orders going to Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, and Italy as we have experienced
delivery problems with these countries.

Matatabi means 'catnip' in Japanese. I do have two little cats who like to help me clean the house occasionally, however they don't hang around near the fabric. While Matatabi fabrics do not come from a pet-free home, they most definitely come from a smoke-free home.
