I used to nod indulgingly at people who told me that they didn't choose to make art, they HAD to make art. I now understand. Walking into a gem show or a vintage warehouse sends my imagination into a frenzy. I'm lucky to have discovered that my bliss is bling!

What I enjoy most about jewelry making--beyond the beautiful colors and textures--is the fabrication process itself. I love to explore new ways of making, and thus I never make the same necklace twice. Most of my necklaces use both new and recycled vintage findings and beads.

These pieces are truly intended to be "costume" jewelry--many are not for the shy. I want the wearers of my work to feel utterly unique, and confident that the piece makes a statement about their own tastes and passions.

I also want them--as I do--to revel in the gorgeous vintage materials that this collection incorporates. I consider each of these pieces a little work of tactile art: I hope you do too.
