mondo cherry is made up of three women who love to create. Even more than that, as two sisters and their Mum, we love to create together.

We have always loved old books and enjoy searching for special ones, with beautiful or quirky illustrations and winsome text, in flea markets, charity shops and at fetes. They show a world when life was very different to the way it is today and our children are fascinated by them too. But sometimes, we find books that have not been well looked after and can no longer be read and enjoyed as they are. Only then do we use them in our artwork so that they can still be appreciated as a thing of beauty.

Another thing we love to search for is beautiful fabric. Our tastes range from funky colourful retro to classy monotone classic and everything in between, but each piece of material that we use has captured our attention. We enjoy making an interesting fabric into wall art, and by embellishing it with beads and sequins we enhance the design and add texture, sparkle and individuality. We have found fabric art to be an affordable way to transform a room.
