I began creating artisan jewelry in the fall of 2002 after moving to the Washington, DC area with my family. I attended my first bead bazaar that October and have been hooked ever since.

After sharing my jewelry artwork with family and friends they encouraged me to share my talents with others.

I have been told by many people how unique my style is. It is certainly not for everyone, but it is for those that are looking for something that nobody else will ever have.

The main materials used in my work is sterling silver, gold fill wire, copper, natural and semi-precious stones, glass and a variety of other materials. The majority of components used in my pieces are hand crafted by myself.

People often ask where I came up with the name Kelsi's Closet Jewelbox. Kelsi is my second daughter who was born 4 months early, due to me developing severe Pre-eclampsia. She weighed only 13 oz and was 8 1/2" long. She fought hard and lived for 2 1/2 days. Kelsi's Closet Jewelbox was created to help me fund an upcoming project, Kelsi's Closet. Kelsi's Closet will be a resource center for information regarding pre-mature babies and programs available to parents that find themselves in a situation similar to my own.
