Bio

I have always been an artist at heart. My mother has a degree in Shakespearean English and has always taught me to appreciate art and antiques. I have grown up writing poetry, painting with watercolors, sewing, and trying my hand at anything that makes the world more beautiful. I starting going to auctions with my mother as soon as I could walk and loved to use various pieces from the auctions in my own jewelry. A memory I keep close to my heart, is admiring my mother’s various antique treasures after each auction. We still do this together! Now, I understand where my tendencies for collecting things came from. It hasn't always been beading. From my early love of auctions, I also collect various antiques as well. I love art deco of any sort, Harrison Fisher prints, as well as Blue Delft and Depression glass, and any old furniture - we need a bigger house to hold all of my collections! My mother and I have always loved Cicely Mary Barker's flower fairies and so that is where my shop name has stemmed - I Believe Creations. "I do believe in fairies. I do! I do!"
